My settings for the sun burst were: f stop 16.0 ISO 400 SS 1/200
If you shoot wide open (f stop of 1.8 or 3.5 - smaller numbers) you won't get the burst, just a hazy ball. I've read that 16.0 and bigger numbers (which are smaller openings in the lens) will give you good sun bursts.
I took 5 shots of that and that was the last one. The wind was blowing the tree branches and leaves so the light was changing and that one was perfect.

Sarah, those first two pics are gorgeous! (Actually, they're all great, but I love the first two), especially the star sun. What were your settings?
That sun burst doesn't even seem real, it's so pretty! I love the flare and the rainbow catch. Incredibly well done!
seems like a wonderful, wonderful world!
Thanks!
