Friday

I don't want to be all OMG, I'm so tired but OMG, I'm so tired.  I worked 32 hours in 3 days (I guess that's what I get for taking a holiday off from work) and the girls were quite angry that I missed bedtime 3 nights in a row so Friday was our day together.

6:00 AM - Wake up in Anna's bed and wonder why Rich isn't in the shower because I need time to get ready for... oh, that's right.  It's Friday.

6:15 - 7:00 - Chat with Allie and Emily in my room.  Try to keep them quiet so they don't wake up Anna, who is usually the first one awake.  When she sleeps in, I do everything in my power to keep it quiet.

7:00 - Bring Allie and Emily downstairs to watch Arthur.

7:01 - Anna wakes up.

7:00 - 9:00 - Feed the girls breakfast, eat breakfast, complete fall gymnastics registration forms and have the girls try on their dance recital outfits for alterations.  When their dance outfits came in months ago, I had the girls try them on and knew that I was going to have to take in the straps but I decided to wait because you never know how much they are going to grow.  Of course, I completely forgot.  Luckily, it was a fairly quick and easy alteration.  x3

Our box from Gymboree arrived Thursday and Grammy had opened it but the shoes and clothes were still in plastic wrap.  We unwrapped and tried it all on.  The girls love everything and all the shoes were a perfect fit!  They are now up to a size 4T in shorts. (LOL)

9:00-10:00 - Time to get ready for gymnastics.  I take a shower, the girls dress in their leotards and hair needs to be brushed and put up.

10:00 - Leave for gymnastics.

11:25 - Return from gymnastics.

11:25 - 12:25 - Feed the girls lunch and get them ready for school.  I eat a snack.

12:25 - Leave to drop the girls off at school.

12:40 - Return home.  The house is so quiet.

12:40 - 2:40 - I needed to run and I wanted to run outside but it was super hot so I decided to run on the treadmill, which sucks because I've been waiting for so long for warm weather so that I can run outside.  I ran 1.75 miles and walked a half mile as a warm-up/cool down.  I've also been taking the time to stretch before and after I run.

Eat lunch, catch up on emails and weekend plans and attempt (and it was an attempt) to clean up.

2:40 - Leave to pick up the girls from school.  I like to leave early so I'm guaranteed to find a parking spot near the entrance so Anna doesn't have far to walk.  I use the downtime to respond to work emails and text messages.

3:20 - Arrive home with the girls.  They change into their bathing suits and pack bags with clothes while I clean up a spill in the van.

3:45 - 4:15 - Drive to my brother's house. The girls are so excited to swim with their cousins!

4:15 - 7:00 - Swimming and pizza.

7:00 - Leave to drive back home.

7:30 - Arrive home and need to get the girls ready for bed.  Throw the bathing suits in the wash.  Rich is out for the evening so I'm flying solo.  Baths x 3.

8:40 - The girls are finally settled in bed.  I clean up.

9:00 - The couch is calling my name.

9:45 - Rich arrives home.  We catch up on the day.

11:00 - Time for bed.  (Later than we want it to be, of course.)

This is silly, but your girls hitting 4T shorts gives me hope that my almost 3 yearold will eventually reach the T sizes. He is still in 12mos and 18 mos shorts.

I never realized that your girls were so tiny that they are only wearing a size 4T in shorts. You always say that they are small and give their stats when you have them but not having young kids myself I forgot how tall the average kid is. I guess they'll always be the shortest in their grade. But I was always that way to, sometimes it has its advantage.

why do your kids go so late to school? is that a special time on fridays?

Sometimes being short is an advantage. You have to work with what you have.

1/2 day kindergarten!

You are busy! No wonder you don't have time to make dresses to sell!
