Home sweet home

We just returned home a few hours ago from a mini vacation slash adventure. Thankfully, we have power and our home escaped the hurricane turned tropical storm unscathed. It was quite a surprise to learn that some surrounding towns are still without power!

That vacation high and excitement that has been pushing me forward for the past four days is finally subsiding and I need to get some sleep especially considering I have to work tomorrow. {eeeek!} I knew that I wasn't going to have internet access and I don't have a smart phone so I stole a few moments here and there last week to set up some blog posts to publish in my absence. I see some of you left comments and I thank you. I need to go read them!

I feel like I fired off 7,000 photos over the past five days so there's plenty to post about. Unfortunately, I always have this weird feeling that readers dislike vacation posts. Like just now when I checked my stats for this week and realized that I am down readers. (It might just be a tough week.) I have to remind myself that I don't blog for others (besides my family) but it is a bit of a downer. {boo!}

I think we all love to see your photographs and your girls make such adorable subjects! I love seeing how they interact with each other. DD is an only child (so far) and I love seeing how sisters interact with each other! You inspire me to take more 'everyday' photographs of DD rather than always setting up photo shoots. And you could be down readers due to the storms/hurricane and loss of power. Even in Southern Ontario Canada we got hit with bad storms and tornadoes and many were left without power. Add to that the number of people that may have been on vacation last week and that could be the reason you were down a bit.

I love ALL of your posts, especially your vacation posts. I enjoy your writing and everything about the girls. I wish that you would stop worrying about and continue to do what you feel is right. The most dedicated of us enjoy and appreciate it ALL.

You're probably down readers because a good chunk of the Eastern seaboard is without power! We didn't have power for three days and my parents were told that they wouldn't get it back until at least Monday. I love your vacation posts - you often capture priceless expressions when the girls see or experience something new and exciting!
Glad you all weathered the storm without any major problems.

I can almost guarantee you are down readers because 1/2 the east coast is without power not because your posts have changed in interest level. I know where I am in CT there is still a lot of power out. We don't have power or water (darn well water) so there's been no internet for me. Except right now I'm at work checking in while waiting for a report to run. Hmm...maybe my logic isn't holding up here.

Post the pictures please - I love seeing them. They make me smile.

I love all the pictures you post - vacation or not! I think it's just been a combination of end of summer business that has your numbers temporarily low. Keep posting - and get some sleep!!

If I posted on my blog based on the number of readers I would have been done a year ago!

I agree that Sarah should not worry about the # of readers but instead continue to post what she feels.
