Shopping, sewing and sick

I use this blog as sort of a journal in addition to entertaining the masses with my triplet tales so even when I do not have a "real" blog post, I still feel the need to update. Years from now, we will read this and say, "Ah, yes. I remember." This is one of those posts.

We were all awake and downstairs this morning before 7:00. Talk about a long day. Shopping was on the agenda and we actually managed to make it to the first store shortly after it opened at 9:00. And I took time to shop for myself today. It did feel a bit like I was on an episode of What Not to Wear except that I had my kids running up and down the aisles.

I do have to throw this funny story in here. As Rich was checking out at the shoe store and I was putting my sneakers back on, Em covered her ears and said, "What is that noise? It's hurting my ears." It was the music that the store was playing, which was somewhat hideous and annoying. I didn't really pick up on it until Em did that though.

I encouraged them all the dance while we waited. And they did.

I only have a few weeks left before the girls' birthday and their birthday outfits are not complete. I am approximately 85% finished with skirt #2. The material for skirt #3 has already been measured and cut.

The girls' cold has made its way to me. They visited their pediatrician on Monday because of their coughs. He said that their lungs were clear and as long as they didn't have fevers, they could go to school. Of course, their coughs were greatly improved that evening. Allie felt so crummy that morning that she asked to go to the doctor.

This has been the slowest moving cold though. I started feeling it on Wednesday (I think) and it turned full blown this afternoon. Complete with half a voice, just like Em. My throat feels like sandpaper.

And with that, I'm off to bed. Or to try to finish a skirt.

M&L have the cold that never ends, too. We're going on over two weeks now. Molly had a fever the first week and was sent home with one, but hasn't had anything since. Pleeeaaase colds, just go away! I hope your house is clear soon!
