Grammy is now sick.
Allie has not tossed since Day 5 and that was a bit random as she went two and a half days without getting sick. She is eating normal, whatever that means, and seems to be back to her old spitfire self.
Anna and Em both tossed today. Only once each. They both are pale, exhausted, temperamental and Em was very shaky today. They don't understand the concept of eating just crackers and toast and keep pushing themselves.
I am exhausted and have felt queasy on and off today. The queasiness could be psychological at this point. In addition, I had to take a sick day as we had no alternative daycare, especially not with puking kids, and I'm freaking out about what I have to get done at work. I am so tired that I fell asleep while we were all watching Handy Dandy. Allie's name for it, not mine. It did make me laugh. As did the conversation I had with Allie while trying to get her ready for school.
"Allie, what time does Grammy usually leave to get you to school?" {Don't ask me why I asked her this.}
"Forty o'clock."
"Um, yeah, okay. Thanks, sweetie."
{a bit later}
"We need to hurry, Mommy. The school closes at thirty o'clock."
"Really? So the school closes before Grammy even leaves to get there?"
"No. It closes at thirty o'clock at night."
So tonight marks Night #8 of sleeping with one ear and eye open so that little munchkins don't choke on vomit. Wonderful.
I hate seeing them this way. When will the madness end?

Oh you poor girl. I read your first post about this stomach flu and felt your pain. And it's still going on. I can't even begin to imagine.
Stomach viruses are so hard. And you aren't getting any sleep.
If it's any consolation, you are my hero as you are still coherent and I would be in the fetile position right now if I were you. I don't do well with puking. Our twin boys (almost 3 yrs old) have not (yet) had the stomach flu. At all. Nevermind together. I want to cry when I think about it happening. And I know it will. It helps me to read about how you are coping. And I think you are doing great.
I really hope that everyone is feeling better soon.
Hugs for you until that time.
Carrie
They can't last forever ((hugs))
did anna and em make it to school today? and i agree with anonymous...you are my heroes these days. i don't know how you are surviving all that grossness!
Sounds awful. We don't have a stomach virus but are passing around hand, foot and mouth disease. We have had four nights without sleep with one girl and now her twin shows has mouth sores also but much less fussy. Just hoping big brother escapes. I, for one, can't wait for spring.
I'm so sorry...I hope this ordeal is over for all of you soon.
I hope everyone is feeling better soon and you can get some much needed rest!
Thanks, everyone.
No, we kept Anna and Emily home from school and will do so until they go a few days without throwing up.
Margaret - I hear that Hand,Foot & Mouth can be BAD. I hope your little ones feel better soon.
