Stuff

I totally forgot to add to yesterday's post how the girls are still rear facing in their car seats. They still meet the height and weight requirements for rear facing with their seats and I believe that it is the safest way for them to sit. Sure, it can be a hassle having to maneuver around those bulky seats but I refuse to put safety over convenience.

I am just about finished editing the pictures from the girls' Valentine's Day photo shoot. Yeah, that didn't go exactly as planned but what does with three toddlers. Those will be posted tomorrow. Stay tuned.

In the comments section a few days ago, BreezieGirl asked about my settings when shooting indoors and having that natural light look. I use my Speedlight with all of my indoor photos. Even in the middle of the day, there just isn't enough natural light in our house. And I tend to underexpose everything so I then brighten a tad in Photoshop Elements.

And have I mentioned that I have a new lens? A 35mm. It was my early birthday/Valentine's Day gift.

I'll end with an adorable picture of Emily in princess dress-up clothes. This was taken in our basement at about 5:00 pm, which means it was almost dark outside. Speedlight! And a tid bit of PSE.

Thank you so much Sarah (especially because I sometimes forget to check back for answers in comments :))!! I've been considering a Speedlight for some time and I really think it's going to have to be next on my list to purchase.

Sarah, mine are still in rear facing at 17 months old as well. We have an SUV and it is a pain in the butt to put the middle guy in. Oh well, it is definitely the safest way to ride.
