Do you see that little space between Em and Anna? Well, that's where I was sleeping. With Piggy right in my face. Luckily, that all went down at about 5:00 AM. I had been sleeping downstairs with Em to begin with and Rich ended up bringing Anna down to join us after she flipped out for no apparent reason and wouldn't calm down.
Do you want to hear how Anna is winning her title of Little Miss Troublemaker? She didn't fall asleep last night until 10:38!!! And that was after waking up at 7:30 in the morning and only taking a half hour nap yesterday. So it's not like she had too much sleep.
I ended up in their room around 8:30 last night as Em and Anna were having trouble falling asleep. Em fell asleep fairly quickly with me sitting there but Anna did not. I finally told Anna that I had to go to the potty but I would be right back. I did have to go to the bathroom but I didn't go back. I was hoping she would just fall asleep.
Rich and I were trying to go to bed at 10:00 and I kept hearing odd noises from the girls' room. We suspected that Anna was still awake but I thought she was just playing in her bed. I decided to peek into their room and couldn't believe it when I saw Anna walking around. I had to sit there with her for about twenty minutes, gently holding her legs still until she fell asleep. She kept fidgeting. I have no idea why she was still awake that late. 10:38.

thank you so much for talking about sleep issues! i know i only have one litle guy (he is 1), but he is a horrible sleeper and often end up with him on a futon...that is folded up as a couch! sadly, EVERY other parent that i speak to with a little one has NO sleeping issues!!! so even though our situatons are different, it's nice to know i am not alone!! thank you!
