* We interrupt Beach Week here at The Great Umbrella Heist to report that at some point yesterday morning, a Triplet Tornado struck the family room at our residence.
No injuries were reported but it did take Mommy quite some time to pick up all those pieces of tissue.
Daddy is quoted as saying that he made an attempt at cleaning up the tissue but Anna was involved in some sort of game with it and freaked out.
* In other news, our central air unit is not functioning properly but we have not had any of the heat here so we've been able to get by without it. And it appears that a critter has taken up residence in the outside wall of our master bedroom. That situation needs to be taken care of sooner rather than later.
* And now for the most important news of all - we had an official pooping in the potty!!! Can you guess who? Anna. Yes, Anna. Anna who has spina bifida and can not be potty trained in the normal sense of the term actually pooped in the potty. That, my friends, is a long story. We'll just leave it at that for now.
I do feel bad because Emily was almost the first one to poop in the potty. Before nap, she told me that she had to go and she was sitting there hanging out. I eventually gave up and brought her in the family room to throw a diaper on her. She cried and cried and five minutes later pooped in the diaper. I felt horrible and made sure to tell her over and over that she was a big girl for letting me know that she had to go.
After Anna pooped, each girl received a sticker. Anna for pooping on the potty, Em for attempting to poop on the potty and Allie for recognizing that there was a potty.
Be sure to stay tuned for a upcoming potty post in the near future.
* Tomorrow's post will detail the girls' first trip to the beach with pictures to follow (hence, the labeling of this week as Beach Week here at The Great Umbrella Heist.)

omg!! That was a cat 5 twister that blew through! And way to go, Anna for putting poops in the potty <3 Getting so big...
Oh my goodness! I am proud of your potty-pooper -- I was trying to get my youngest (who will be 3 in November) to try it tonight but no dice.
Also, I enjoyed your tornado pictures as they were comforting and familiar to me. I appreciate knowing there are other children out there who will pass up a beautiful toy kitchen set in favor of a game with shredded facial tissue.
WOW note to self: make sure tissue is out of reach at all times... ha! I bet they had fun though! can't wait to see the beach pictures!
Oh wow! My house is very tornado-prone too:)
Can't wait to see your beach pics- I know they'll be great!
Wow! That isn't so bad! You should see our playroom! :)
Wow! That was a tornado! Have fun at the beach!
Oh I'm trying so hard to not laugh.... oh forget it - I have to. HAHAHA!
I hate when the boys get hold of TP or tissues! Such a mess!
Yay to Anna for the potty success!
