SUNday

As promised, photos from yesterday. It was close to 90 degrees and believe me, I'm not complaining. I'll take heat over cold any day!

Oh, before I continue I should note that yes, the girls slept in this morning, Monday. A bit past 7:00. Although Rich was in their room for a half hour or so around 1:30 AM for Allie. And then I couldn't fall back asleep because Rich was breathing too loud.

When I finally forced myself out of bed yesterday, Rich had just returned from a run with the girls in the triple stroller and had them playing in the yard. I looked out the window and thought, "Oh, look at how cute they are!"

Here's Anna. (Outfit change #1)

I brought out a baggie of Cookie Crisp cereal for myself. It was taken over by the girls, who did share with each other. Not so much with me. Anna has a Cookie Crisp in her mouth in the above picture.

Here's Em sharing.

By 10:00 it was 80 degrees so we changed the girls into some summer clothes. (Outfit change #2)

We decided to see how lunch of mac'n'cheese, peas and carrots and chocolate milk outside would go. Allie's on the left, Anna in the lower right and Em on the upper right. If you look closely, you'll see how Allie's eyes are half shut because of the suntan lotion incident.

Allie kept leaving the table and running into their play cottage, which Anna didn't like at all. She must have wanted them all to eat together. She would say, "Alya, come back," and Em would run over to the cottage and bring her back. It was adorable.

After lunch, I told Rich that I thought the meal had gone well. Rich replied, "It's interesting what we consider 'going well' now."

If I ask the girls, "What's the number one rule today?" they'll say, "Nappy. Play." I've repeated it so many times. "After nap, we can go outside to play. BUT you have to sleep or we can't go out to play."
.
Here are some pictures from our mini afternoon pool party. (Outfit change #3 well really #4 because naptime would have been #3) The water in the pool was freezing so the girls only stuck their feet in but it was enough to cool them off. Next time, we know to plan ahead and leave the pool in the sun to warm up.

Anna

Em. Notice how she is holding Little Lion. Little Lion goes everywhere with her.

I finally convinced her to let him rest on the bench.

That was short lived. I'm happy to report that he did survive a dunk in the pool.

.
And then it was off to the stores to run some weekend errands. (Outfit change #5) These dresses are size 12 months and still fit the girls!

I just have to say that your girls are just beautiful. I even showed my husband and he agreed, which normally he replies to any girly comment like that by saying, "Yeah...whatever...they're cute." But he actually stopped, stared, and, with a big smile, said, "They ARE cute!" :)
I just love their eyes. :)

Hi, I somehow stumbled onto your blog (I think from 4littlemen), but have enjoyed learning about life with multiples. I will say about the girls fitting into smaller sized dresses....I saved my favorite smaller sized dresses that my daughter wore and she has continued to wear them as tops now that she is four. One of my favorites is an 18 month dress. It's been so perfect for an adorable top! Your girls are very pretty, I know you enjoy them so (even on those days - you know?) :)
