The Weekend Scene

Over the summer, we ordered a new couch and love seat for the cottage.  The couch that had been left by the previous owners just wasn't working for us.  It was on the small side and there was room for a larger couch so we decided to find another couch.  Now an adult can actually sleep on this one if need be.  We managed to schedule delivery for this past Saturday.  Because we had to be at the cottage for the delivery, we opted to spend the night.  It was a chilly night.

The weather here went from "I need the AC on" to "I need the heat on" in two days.  We ran some errands Saturday afternoon and stopped by Nauset Beach to fulfill Emily's request.  It was a chilly outing and we didn't last long.  Wimps, I know.  (By the way, the word of the day was chilly.)

That, my friends, is the color of frigid water.

Sunday turned out to be a fairly nice day.  We stopped for a quick beach outing before heading home.

Rainbow sunflare in the sand.

It already feels like it's going to be a very long winter.
