Presenting Race Point Beach

I recently heard Cape Cod described as "an arm of glacial sand thrust into the North Atlantic" and I think that's the best description I've heard yet.  At the very end of that arm is Provincetown and Race Point Beach, which is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore.  I love this beach because you truly feel like you are at the end of the world.

We stopped here after dinner in P-town and hung out for awhile as the sun set.

These little fish had washed up on shore and died.  As we were walking along the waterline, we witnessed more and more fish left stranded in the sand.  Emily kept picking them up and tossing them back in.  (The ones who were still alive, of course.)  At one point, we came upon a huge pile of them and I told her she wasn't going to be able to save all of them.  She was so upset.  She has such a huge heart, especially when it comes to animals.  Even stuffed animals.

We weren't the only ones who stayed to see the sunset.

If you ever visit Cape Cod, I highly recommend driving to the end.  You won't regret it.
