Thoughts on . . .

Instagram

I've been on IG for a few weeks now and for the most part, I really like it.  I'm finding it so much easier to make and stay connected to others and I greatly prefer it over Twitter.  I actually don't even go on Twitter very often and when I do, it's usually for news.  I sort of became disenchanted with it.  I felt like in order to stay connected, you needed to be on there all the freaking time.  And I have some other complaints, but whatever.  Moving on.  When it comes to photography, I like to stay inspired.  I had found some new photography blogs last year but most don't update regularly.  It's easy to feel extremes on IG though.  Some days, it's full of inspiration and other days, I think my photography looks like poop.  Also, I don't mind the follow for a follow if you read here or we have something in common and it's a true follow for a follow.  What I do mind is when someone with tens of thousands of followers follows me, waits for a follow back, and then unfollows me a week later.  Bye, bye.

I'm not on Snapchat and the only reason, right now, why I would consider joining is because the kids think the filters are fun.  I tried out Instagram Stories this week and surprisingly, I thought it was easy to figure out.  I like it because I wanted to post more videos but I didn't want them cluttering up my feed.  It will be fun when dance starts up next month.

If you are on IG, please leave me a comment here or there so I can follow you.

Summer Camps

The girls attended Vacation Bible School last week at our church and they had an absolute blast.  Unfortunately, they will be too old to attend next summer.  We have to be selective in summer camps because of Anna's current cathing situation (she has no interest in doing it herself) and most of the programs around here will not provide that nursing service.  This camp ran in the morning so I cathed her before we left and then right when we walked in the door.  There was a nurse there (for allergies and if a child got hurt) so I provided my number in case Anna needed me for SB related matters.  Thankfully, she didn't.  Thursday morning, Emily grabbed my arm and exclaimed, "I'm going to be so sad tomorrow because camp ends."

Swimming

Having a pool has made the girls more confident and stronger swimmers.  I bought some inexpensive snorkel sets and they've taught themselves how to snorkel in the pool, which will come in handy if #hawaii2017 happens.  (I know, I'm always talking about Hawaii.  I need some Hawaii in my life.)

I'm lisadsims, not that original but easy to find :) I've been following you since we found out were were having triplets. Your posts give me an idea of some of the fun to look forward to as my IDs get older. I have boys though so I'm hoping less drama, more food.

I originally created an Instagram account to use for my blog. I'm a little behind on blogging but I like Instagram because I can still update there with smaller posts/photos. I'm thisdearhomeofmine on Insta.

I found your blog through your Disney posts 5 years ago when I was going to take my oldest to Disney for her first time. I love your pictures and your Disney customs. I've made a few for my oldest but now finding time to sew is tough and I lack motivation at 8pm after the kids are in bed. I'm on IG as jenrad83

I'm loving you being on IG! While I still sometimes fall behind going through my feed, I keep up WAY better there than from my feedly (as you're about to find out with lots of comments ;)). I definitely agree that IG is easier to keep up with than Twitter and I loved watching your stories.

I'm on IG as @mileswithgrace I actually just found your blog because of googling gymnastics and Spina Bifida. My little girl is two and I was hoping there might be another mom who enrolled their kid in gymnastics. Curious if you guys are still doing it? Would love to connect!
