An afternoon biking, Cape Cod Canal

Now that we have more flexibility with the weekends, Rich and I both agree on enjoying more family outings.  It's not a big deal if the dirty laundry remains in the hamper until Monday.  Or Thursday.  We haven't yet had a beach day this summer so that was the plan for last weekend until the weather decided otherwise.  To scratch the Cape itch, we ended up biking along the Cape Cod Canal.  In total, we biked about four miles, which was a lot for Anna but she did it.

After biking and exploring, we stopped at The Seafood Shanty for dinner.  They don't have kids' meals so we quickly figured out who would share what.  Anna ordered a grilled cheese but tried the seafood.  Allie and Rich shared the lobster roll (I had a few bites too, delicious!) and Emily was supposed to share that fish platter.  We did all manage to sneak a few bites but she inhaled most of that fish.  She looked like she was on an episode of Survivor.  I mainly ate the clam chowder, which was some of the best I've had.
