We're in the middle of some weird four day storm cycle right now. Although, I have to say that yesterday and today were fairly anticlimactic with the falling snow leaving only a few additional inches on top of the two feet we already have. But the forecast did say that it wouldn't be much. The big boys are coming out tonight with a classic Nor'easter blowing through here tomorrow. Awesome.
Allie and I ventured out to Target Saturday afternoon for a short shopping trip.
After spending years strapping three babies and then toddlers into their car seats in the minivan, it feels bizarre to take one kid out and about in the Volvo. It's like a dreamland I never thought I would reach and my back is so very grateful.
Okay, so back to the snow.
The snow drifts in the backyard are pretty deep in some areas.
With Allie's help, let's check out how much snow we have before another foot of it lands on us.
Here's the walkway to the front door.
And the giant snowbank at the end of the driveway.
Hello!
And this is what we have to climb over if we want to play in the backyard.

I love your pictures!!!
(I am working on a long-term project with a company out of Boston now, and I'll admit, too, that I'm checking your blog to make a guess as to whether they'll be in the office today. HA! I don't know how much you've been able to stay home, but they've been working remotely for several days the past 2-3 weeks. Hope you have the same opportunity!)
I've lived in NC most of my life and I can not imagine that much snow!! We would be shut down for weeks! :) stay warm!
