Ariel and a skirt fit for a princess

So work has been, umm, crazy.  I'm so stressed out that I must be clenching my jaw and now my teeth hurt.  I took Advil earlier today (more than once) and it did absolutely nothing.  With my work schedule as it's been this past week, I haven't been able to run or do much of anything else.  I didn't get home until 9:00 Wednesday night and then 10:00 last night.  Needless to say, I haven't had any time to sew.  I'm currently in the middle of Emily's Crystal Palace outfit.

As I've mentioned before, I wanted to sew some customs for Em's BFF, who is heading to Disney for the first time this summer.  She's the same exact size as Emily, which makes sizing super simple.

First up is the Ariel outfit.

I'm not 100% happy with how those fabrics look together on the skirt but it's fine.  I need to stop obsessing over it.  That's an embroidered applique sewn onto the tank top.

And here's a fairytale maxi skirt.

I'm not 100% happy with how the photos in this post came out.  I don't know what was going on and I didn't have the patience to take a million photos and I couldn't find anywhere to hang the skirt.  When Emily has an item on, especially one that ultimately will not be hers, I find myself saying, "Don't fall down in the grass.  Don't sit in the grass. Don't attempt a cartwheel in the grass.  Don't move."  And we make it the shortest photo session ever.

I clench my jaw all the time and the only medicine that works for the resulting headache is Excedrin Tension headache. Sorry you are dealing with so much much stress.
