Mini sleeping bags and experimenting with quilting

I came across these cute little sleeping bags on Pinterest the other day and decided to whip some up for the girls.  I realize this may sound odd but I'd been wanting to quilt something and this was the perfect opportunity for some experimenting.

There's a little pillow built in the top.

Anna requested one big enough for her dolls.

That's Saige, Allie's doll because, for whatever reason, I wasn't allowed to photography Anna's dolls that day.

For Allie, I made a double.

To quilt, I used the masking tape method, which was fine for these smaller items and I can see using it for bags but not for anything bigger.  I didn't line up my diamonds at all either, so they aren't in a straight line up and down.  Lesson learned there.

Those sleeping bags are so cute! I love how Elmo is still a favorite - he looks well loved. :)

For my quilting I use a water erasable fabric pen and draw my lines on, much easier to follow. Then just through it in the wash and they come out, but don't iron as that will set them
