Around here...

"I found a birthmark on my stomach.  I named it Ted.  Ted's my BFF because he'll be with me forever."

"You need to quit work."
"I can't quit, honey."
"Well, then you need to get yourself fired!"

"How'd you do on your spelling test?"
"I got a hundred out of seven."
"You can't get a hundred out of seven.  Did you get seven out of twelve?  There were twelve spelling words."
"No, I got a hundred out of seven."
"Do you mean 100 percent?  Was it a percent sign after the hundred?"
"Oh.... is that what that means?"

"Are you clown running?"  (To Rich, who was wearing compressions socks with running shorts.)

"We all brought lunch today because we didn't like the menu.  They were having crabby patty sandwiches or bagels."
"Crabby patty?"
"Yup.  Crabby patty."
"It was chicken patty sandwiches!"
We all had a good laugh over that one.

The girls have discovered the map app on our iPhones and think that looking at the satellite images is fun.  They seem to like maps in general and learning how the world looks - big and small.  One day, after Emily had found our street and our house on the phone, she asked me to go outside so she could see me on the phone.  "It's a satellite image, Em, not a spy-cam."  They all thought that was hysterical.

I guess because it seems like we're always cleaning??

Work is still busy.  I have 10,000 things I'd like to be doing here.  I pulled out my first grade piano book and want to start giving the girls lessons to see if they really have an interest.  If they do, I can take them to a certain point and then we'll have to find a real teacher.  We'll see what happens.  I have to actually get home before they go to bed before we can begin though...
