Tiny dancers

may6a

The girls' friend birthday party was held at a dance studio this year.  Unfortunately, the weather around here is too unpredictable in April to plan for an outdoor party and our home most definitely could not hold that many people.  We were unsure as to how many kids would be able to attend because the party was the weekend before school vacation week.  Amazingly enough, almost everyone RSVPed with a yes.  The studio told us that our party was the largest one yet.

I typically only buy the girls new dance outfits at the beginning of the school year, and they really only need two each, but as a special treat, the girls each picked out a new dance leotard for the party.

(I just love cute stuff like dolls in strollers.)

I didn't really take any pictures during the party but a great time was had by all.  And yes, we did sing Happy Birthday three different times.

I thought I was being super clever by baking cupcakes in ice cream cones.  Have you ever had these?  You have to eat them the same day they are made, before the cones start to soften up.  I thought it would be less messy for the kids.  Well, it turns out some of them didn't realize that you ate the cone too.  They were just eating the cupcake and frosting off the top.  Oh, well.  We had Hoodsie Cups as well so everyone was happy.  I also thought I was being super clever by having Grammy make headbands for the party favors.  That idea, fortunately, was a huge hit.

I often like to joke that while it most certainly wasn't easy having triplet infants or toddlers, my payback is happening now.  One birthday party a year for three kids.  Thank you very much.

The pictures of all three together are so so so so cute. I feel like I haven't seen a pic of them together in a little while. The headbands are so cute and so are all three leotards. But I especially love Allie's.

I make cupcakes like that ALL the time! I LOVE THEM. Plus, no clean-up with the wrappers either, so I feel better about the environment too.

I love the pictures. My twin girls are having a ballerina party this Saturday. They are only one and so they won't actually be dancing but the theme is ballerina :)

It looks like your girls had a great time!

This is too much cuteness for one post. I am on adorable overload. Also, I agree with the 1 birthday and it's over thing...I had my first 6/10, the twins 6/16 and my husband is 6/18. We have one giant family party and a friend party for the older one. The littles will have their friend party once they are in 1st grade. It's a totally expensive month but then it's done ;)

I love their new leotards. It's so cute how they all chose a different one.

So cute. I also love that you mentioned Hoodsies. I live in PA but both my parents are from RI. My sister LOVES Hoodsies- a favorite treat from our grandma's freezer when we would visit. Can your mom to a headband tutorial?

Fantastic! Looks like they had a wonderful time. And yes, by the way, I have had those cupcakes in a cone. When I was a kid, many years ago, my mom signed me up for a "cooking for kids class". The very first thing we made was those cupcakes!

Yes - HEADBAND TUTORIAL! I need to make some of those for my niece's 6th birthday in July!

Thank you! Allie was looking for a purple leotard but they didn't have any in her size.

I'll have to talk to Grammy about doing a tutorial. I could take pictures while she makes one and post it.

I didn't realize that Hoodsies were local. I love them!

Ha! We sing to each girl, individually as well. Also, I don't know what hoodsie is ::blush::

Wendy - a hoodsie is a cup of ice cream - half chocolate/half vanilla. Next time you visit new england you'll have to have one.
