Afternoon light on afternoon light

My first canvas ever arrived last week and I'm in love.  (I just need to figure out where to hang it.)

I don't really know what took me so long to jump on the canvas bandwagon.  I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to photography and I'm stubborn and printing to canvas isn't inexpensive.  I somehow ended up on a mailing list for Canvas On Demand.  I see % off deals from them all the time but canvas is still expensive and I was unsure of their quality.  I did a bit of research and they seemed legit so I waited for an email announcing a high % off.  One morning last month, I found an email in my inbox, from the night before, for 50% off your order but it was a flash sale and only good for 4 hours.  I waited for another and it came through while I had the girls at gymnastics the week before last.

That was a 5x5" photo and I ended up ordering a 25x25" canvas.  The cost was $63.50 after using the 50% off sale code.  Even after being blown up to 5 times it's original size, the quality is excellent.

FYI - If you're looking for a place with quality traditional prints, I highly recommend mpix.com.

That is the most beautiful photo ever! Thanks for the info. I can't wait to order some prints from that site and get my first canvas print! I've thought about it for awhile, but didn't know of a good place to have it done.

It looks absolutely beautiful. And it shows your girls' personalities so much - that's the best. :)

Love it! If your looking for another place I've had a good experience at Costco getting prints on canvas.

I ordered my first canvas this year too. A shot of the beach at the Chatham Bars Inn. I had a Groupon from Canvas on Demand. They run those deals a lot.

I love Mpix too! Have you tried the metallic paper? It's amazing! I also like Persnickety Prints - super fast shipping.

Mpix is my favorite place for prints

It looks awesome, especially with that green wall if that's where you end up hanging it.

COD is my favorite for canvases. I have three and they're so awesome. "Like" them on FB and you'll get more deals. I got a 24x36 canvas- HUGE for about $100 with their coupons/sales. I only wish I had more pictures to put up.

Aw, thanks for the compliments. I love that picture of the girls too.

I haven't tried the metallic paper - I should step out of my little box and go for it though. Next time I place an order, I'll get one on metallic to test it out.

We were going to hang it there above the piano but I wasn't sure about the green on green. I originally wanted two square ones to hang side by side but I only have 1 square picture right now of the three of them.

its gorgeous! I keep waiting for the perfect picture, but I don't think I am going to get a perfect smiling looking picture of four boys...

That canvas is gorgeous! Living Social and Groupon have these deals ALL the time...for way less than you paid. Keep an eye out for them!

Debra-- two of my three canvases don't even show my daughter's faces! One is baby A holding a water lily, the other is both girls playing in the shallows at a small pond in NH. Find something you love, slap it on a canvas. It goes from picture to art that fast :)

For the Groupon - the only one I've seen is for a specific size -I think 16x20. Do they ever run other deals? I needed this custom sized to be a square (and a bit bigger.)
