Rich, in case you were wondering...

why the bathroom rug is full of baby powder...

mar26a

Em had stinky feet and insisted on coating them with baby powder which she had done the night before by herself without making a mess. Well, while I was brushing Allie's teeth, Anna joined the baby powder party.

I should have learned my lesson by now but I haven't. You allow kids to do something once and they think that it's okay to do it whenever. Like baby powder for alleged stinky feet. (I didn't smell so I can neither confirm nor deny the smell.)

(I know and they know that breathing in those particles is a no no. This was an isolated incident. The fact that I even have to type this is absurd but I know that there's someone out there who wants to leave a comment regarding the negative consequences of using baby powder.)

All I was thinking is it looked like fun and way to go on just letting them be kids.

Chantel - I kind of get the feeling from others that unless you are eating, breathing and living all organic and 100% natural with a vegan or vegetarian diet and no plastic in your house - you are harming yourself and your kids. I read an article years ago about about how baby powder usage was down b/c the particles can be inhaled. I was waiting for someone to point that out - lol.

Thanks for the comment!

That looks like fun. I think I may need to get some baby powder for the stinky feet in our house. One of my girls makes me smell her feet EVERY night. It's not pleasant or cute anymore now that she's approaching 4. Pew.

Lovely, lovely daughters!!! It's fun to play with powder every once in a while. And who wants stinky feet? C'mon. Haha. They look so happy.

Cheers,

OMG...memories! My kids are way grown up...but my worse happening was with Johnson & Johnson baby powder! My husband worked for the company so we had a huge stash of their products!

My two oldest were about the age of your girls. They had quiet or nap time. One day I heard them up and they were in the upstairs bedrooms. I looked up the stair well and their was a "fog". They had emptied powder from about 6 bottles of powder all over the upstairs! Looked like they thought it was snowing!(see next comment)

You cannot breathe through that stuff nor vacuum it up! We are talking weeks of cleaning...truth be told the house sold with a powder array when you vacuumed!

This was in the 70's ...hubby's work got a call to send him home!

The kids are now 40, 38, and miss surpise, who arrived later is 34.This will never be a funny thing that happened on the way to growing up!
