You know your kid is exhausted

at bedtime when

a) she (Emily) cries hysterically because she doesn't want to go to college.

b) she (Emily) cries hysterically because she can't find Little Lion. (He was in her hand.)

c) she (Allie) cries because she sees a shark in the heating vent.

d) she (Allie) doesn't want to dissect a frog in science class.

At least Anna just goes to sleep.

Just to be safe you might want to check that heating vent:)

Go Anna!

I feel like I need more context on the college one.

How on earth does a 4 year old know that frogs are dissected in high school? Does she know what dissection is? Poor kids! I hope they got some sleep eventually so that you could.

lol

Wiley - that's what she was crying about - she doesn't want to go to college. When she's 18!

Sandi - yeah, they know too much about some things....

They start crying and I redirect - it doesn't last long.

All legitimate claims.

When my daughter was younger, I had some cash on my kitchen sink and she took it and put it in her piggy bank, she brought it to me and showed me that she had put it in there, I told her I needed it back and she had a melt and saying "but how am I supposed to go to college if I don't have any money." They say some seriously funny things when they are tired.

I know it's not funny, but it was what I needed before bed. Proof of pure innocence.

redirect. redirect. redirect!

Every single one of these with the exception of the shark in the vent have been said and done by my girls. Kids are too funny and totally weird.

This just may be the funniest thing I've ever heard!!! If there was a home's funniest sayings show, this would win! By the way, a while ago my husband noticed me looking at your blog. His face lite up and he said, "oh, it's those cute girls again. They are contenders [in cuteness] with our girls". He strongly believes that you have the cutest girls (besides ours, of course - haha) that he's ever seen.
