A glimpse into my mornings

I have thought about writing a "day in the life of" post but it would have to be a work day and I think the post would be a touch boring without photos. Taking photos of a work day would require me to allow extra time to take said photos and I would have to lug my camera into work. Apparently, that requires more energy than I currently possess because I have made no attempts at doing so.

Over the past few years, there have been several moments where I have been the only one awake in my bed with a little one (or two) pressed against me. Perched precariously on the edge of the mattress, I wished I could somehow capture the moment with an ariel view type of photograph.

One morning a few weeks ago, all three girls ended up in the bed with me while Rich was showering. Without telling the girls what I was doing, I snuck out of bed and grabbed my camera, which luckily was in my camera bag in my room. I was attempting to take a picture of us together when Rich finished in the bathroom and became the photographer.

(The best part of this photo is Anna's face.)

Our bedroom was such a flipping mess, I had to crop the picture. I need a fresh start in there or something.

What a fantastic photo. The fact it is in black and white really gives it some feel. Lovely photo.

Just adore this. As much as I'd love a full night's sleep with no little bodies next to me, I do also love it.

And you are right about Anna's face, but your expression is priceless too.

Thank you, everyone!! That is actually a queen size bed. Doesn't look so big with 4 people in it.
