She carefully picked up the photograph from my bedside table. Clutching the silver frame with both of her small hands, Emily asked, "Who is this, Mommy"
"You know who that is, sweetie," I responded. "Why don't you tell me?"
"It's Abbey," she said with a soft smile. "But she's a baby."
"I know she's a baby, honey. She's in Heaven."
"Can she fly?"
"Well, she's an angel. Yes, she can fly."
"Can she fly here?" Emily asked in a serious voice.
"I'm sure she can. She's probably here right now watching over us."
Emily looked around the room with wide eyes. "But I can't see her."
"She's an angel, honey," I said softly. "She watches over you. She's an angel."

What a sweet and touching little moment with one of your adorable daughters. Thanks for sharing!
This moment gave me chills. Thanks for sharing :)
Your girls are so sweet and caring and intuitive. You are lucky to have them, as they are you, and your own guardian angel watching over you all. ((hugs))
That was beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
Someone recently directed me to your blog and I've enjoyed reading a few posts. Your girls are adorable! I didn't realize, however, that you also lost a baby. So now I feel even more of a connection. When our oldest daughter was just 1 yr. old, we had two first trimester losses. Then we got pregnant with twin girls, only to lose them to TTTS at 5 and a half months along. One was born sleeping, the other lived only a very short time. However, just a short time later, God allowed us to become pregnant with twins again (both times completely "natural")! Though a very difficult pregnancy in many ways, our girls were born healthy at 37 weeks! After so much heartache, we feel so incredibly blessed! Anyway, thanks for sharing this little moment about the baby girl you lost. How precious that we know we will see our little ones again in heaven someday.
Big lump in my throat reading this. I know I have these days ahead.
