No, Santa doesn't have that.

The topic of Santa came up a bit early this year as we were debating on whether or not we should visit Santa's Village while vacationing in New Hampshire. (By the way, I still have some more photos from our last day of vacation and want to do one more post. Soonish.) Unfortunately, our vacation was not long enough so Santa's Village was quickly removed from the itinerary. After the Santa incident at the Southwick Zoo, the girls would ask, "Is Santa gonna be there?" whenever Santa's Village was mentioned. Another reason to hold off on a trip to Santa's Village.

Although the girls are somewhat afraid of seeing Santa, they still like to talk about him, pretend to be him or tell us what they want for Christmas. The last one may partly be my fault as I sometimes try to bribe them into staying in their own beds by telling them that Santa will only bring certain toys if they are big kids.

As we were playing out in the yard over the weekend, Em wrapped a few beach towels around her neck and head and started pretending to be Santa. She was asking Allie and Anna what they wanted for Christmas and then Rich said, "What about me? Aren't you going to ask me what I want for Christmas?"

Emily: "Ho ho ho. What do you want for Christmas?"

Rich: "A vacation to Aruba. At least three days long."

Emily: "No, Daddy! Santa doesn't have that."

Rich: "He doesn't! What does he have?"

Emily: "Bandaids, dollies, stuff for dollies, changing tables and diaper bags."

{Sigh.} To be a three year old.

There is a back story to why those last two items (a doll changing table and a doll diaper bag) are on the list. It involves the American Girl catalog and bribes.
