When I grow up...

Here is a conversation I had with the girls earlier this week:

Mommy: "Allie, what do you want to be when you grow up?"

Allie: "I want to be a mommy."

Mommy: "Oh, Allie, that is so nice. How many babies are you going to have?"

Allie: "I'm going to have one baby."

Mommy: "Are you going to have a girl or a boy?"

Allie: "I'm going have a girl."

Mommy: "What is her name going to be?"

Allie: "Her name is going to be Elmo."

Mommy: "Emmy, what do you want to be when you grow up?"

Em: "A firefighter."

Mommy: "Oh, that's interesting. What about you Anna?"

Anna: "A rockstar."

I kind of like Anna's plan. Maybe she can support the lavish lifestyle I plan to have when I retire.

For the past few weeks, Allie's book of choice for bedtime reading as been Richard Scary's Best Word Book Ever. Her favorite page is the When You Grow Up page, which she refers to as 'The Family Page' because there is a picture of a cat family on it.

I noticed on Thursday that Allie had spent a lot of time during the day playing with a doll in addition to Elmo. At one point, she had the doll in a stroller and was pushing her around while carrying Elmo in her little purse. That night when we reached 'The Family Page,' the following conversation took place:

Mommy: "Allie, what do you want to be when you grow up?"

Allie: "I want to be a mommy."

Mommy: "How many babies are you going to have?"

Allie: "I'm going to have two babies."

Mommy: "Two babies? Are they going to be girls or boys?"

Allie: "They're going to be girls."

Mommy: "What are their names going to be?"

Allie: "One is going to be named Elmo."

Mommy: "And what is the other baby's name going to be?"

Allie: "The other baby is going to be named... ummm... Baby."

And do know what Allie said to me last night? She said, "I want to be a mommy just like you!" I know, so sweet and cuddly and adorable.

I will leave you with a recent picture of Elmo. As you may or may not know, his stickers are switched up here and there. Does anyone else find it funny that he's been sporting an Angelina the Ballerina sticker for the past few weeks?

So cute.

I know who is Ally.
Elmo and Ally are often together.

Currently Ally is purple girl it is even easier.

But if there isn't Elmo how to know who is who??
is it so easy for you?

I'm frustrate when i can't make a difference between identical twins ( or triplet ).

Like french teacher, i had every year identical twins in my class. And after one month i know who is who because they are different.

Hee-hee... he's looking down at his sticker with a look of, "Won't anyone take care of this atrocity??"
