Well, maybe the pictures don't really show you. You need to cover that ball in plenty of sand/dirt, preferably of the kind found at the bottom of the driveway.

These photos were taken during an unseasonably warm day we had a few weeks ago. Today, I realized that most of the trees now have leaves. That's how spring usually works around here. (For me anyway.) Bam. It's here.
