When I grow up...

"When I grow up, I want to be a mommy. To Elmo."

Yes, that is from Allie and I have been hearing that statement quite a lot these days. She really is attached to Elmo. I watched him fly out of her arms and crash onto the wood floor the other night as she came rearing into the kitchen. She ran over and covered with him kisses while saying, "Oh, are you okay, sweetie?"

Saturday morning, the girls all decided to make a pretend bed on the living room floor and watch television while hanging out together. Allie ran over and grabbed Elmo from the couch (where I am sure he was supposed to be napping) and said, "Come here, Elmo. You can sleep on my b-o-o-b-i-e-s." {Yes, I am doing that in code so that if someone is searching the internet for that word, my blog doesn't pop up.}

As of the other night, Em wants to be a doctor when she grows up and Anna wants to be a rock star. I asked Anna if she wanted me to paint her nails black to complete the toddler rock star look. She asked me if I had black nail polish. When I told her that I did and asked again if I could paint her nails, she responded with, "NO."

The girls have two doctor kits that they love playing with. Most recently, Em is usually the doctor. We have seen Em, the doctor, taking care of Anna, the patient, while Allie, the mommy, comforts the patient. And just the other night, Allie was insisting that Em, as a doctor, take care of Elmo. She was holding him for his exam by Dr. Emily and then announced, "I'm so proud of you."

What a great post! Such cute stories and pictures!

I can't wait until my two start talking...in English, that is. Right now they speak some sort of Chinese-Spanish hybrid to each other and my husband and I are totally clueless!

This is so cute, almost as cute as your sweet babies! I also have to laugh that you had to type in code, it is sad but so true!
