Trying on clothes & shoes. With stinkin' cute photos.

Because I tend to purchase clothes for the girls on clearance during end of season sales, we have several different options this year for Easter outfits. I refuse to spend $25-$30 on a dress that will only be worn once, maybe twice, maybe three times. Multiply that by three!

I pulled out some clothes and shoes last week for the girls to try on. I purchased this size 3T pink dress about a year and a half ago for $1.99 at The Children's Place. {Please ignore the fact that it is wrinkled.}

Yes, you read that correctly. $1.99. I actually think that another customer had returned it along with a matching pink trench coat that I purchased for $1.99. Thankyouverymuch.

That's Allie wearing the dress, which she LOVES, along with pink dress shoes that I picked up at the Gap last year (maybe) for around $5 a pair. Those are in size 6.

In the above picture, Em is modeling summer shoes in size 6 from Old Navy. I purchased those back in the fall for around $2.50 a pair. They are a little big on her but I'm hoping her feet grow a bit before summer hits and summer won't hit here until June. I purchased three pairs of those shoes all in size 6 and Anna's are just too big. They will fit her next summer though. Her feet are so tiny and dainty, related in part to her spina bifida.

Anna was being so adorable, running to the door, then saying, "Take a picture of me, Mommy."

I really need to clean out the girls' closet to make room for all the 3T items I now have stored in giant ziploc bags. If only you could see the list of projects I have.

Em decided she wanted to be a ballerina, which is always okay with me.

I picked up these skirts last year at The Children's Place. (Anna is modeling.) They are size 3T and are supposed to be long but Anna's kept sliding down. I think that the girls need to fatten up a bit before they wear these.

Allie keeps asking me if she can wear her pink dress. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures but the diaper cover is still attached to the inside of the dress and I haven't even cut the tags off.

My loves!

I love the skirt that Anna is modeling! You always find the best deals, just found out I'm pregnant and I will be doing a lot of purchasing off season like you do!

Peee-u! These were stinkin' cute photos! :)

Um, question: Do you feel overwhelmed by the amount of childrens clothing in your home? Do you have a method of keeping everything organized? I keep all my stuff in huge 30-40 gallon tubs that are labeled by size. Even with everything separated, I still feel like I'm in a constant battle against all the clothes! :)

Cute clothes! My girls have been blessed to live off of hand-me-downs but now that they are almost 2 those are getting few and far between. I'm curious to know how do you estimate shoe size a year or season in advance? Do you just guess based on their age?

How incredibly cute...the girls and the clothes! I love the fact that I am not the only one that buys ahead and saves a ton! How else could I put my twin boys in Gymboree and Raplh Lauren, brands that I like quite a bit, without clearance???!!! :)
