Here's the scene:
The girls had finished eating their dinner. Allie and Em were cleaned up and playing in the family room while I wrapped up cleaning Anna's hands. Allie, who was carrying a Doug & Melissa wooden birthday cake, and Em came marching into the room and presented the cake to Anna. Allie told Anna to blow out the candles, which she did. Allie and Em marched back into the family room.
I was still cleaning up the dining area when Allie reappeared with a piece of cake on a plate. I noticed Elmo in one of the high chairs. When I asked Allie if the cake was for Anna, she replied, "No, it's for Elmo."
And then Anna and Allie sang Happy Birthday to him.

Anon - yes, Allie and Anna are wearing the same shirts in both posts. Pics were taken on different days - we recycle! aka using "clean" shirts for play clothes.
