So, take it from me, there is a big difference in size between a crib mattress and a twin bed mattress. I have vowed that I will have the girls' rooms decorated. Soon. As soon as possible soon. Unfortunately, I was having trouble finding crib sheets and blankets so I purchased twin bed sheets and blankets for Allie's and Em's rooms. The sheets and blankets are HUGE. I was able to tuck the fitted sheets under the mattresses so that wasn't really a big deal but the flat sheets are just too big to try to use and I've had to fold the blankets up in order for them to fit on the beds.
I think I am going to take the flat sheets and make crib skirts from them because the crib skirts on there now don't match at all. I hope to have those completed by May. Or June. Maybe. (Yes, I do own a sewing machine and I can sew. I just don't have time!)
The girls wore sleepsacks for so long that they are not completely comfortable sleeping with blankets. I usually end up covering them in blankets after they fall asleep and then they wake up in the middle of the night and move as far away as possible from the blankets. Allie was a 'big girl' for me last night and proudly tucked herself in and stayed that way throughout the night.
I was also able to squeeze in some decorating last weekend.
I promise to post more details and pictures when the rooms are finished. In May. Or June. The girls are very excited about their big girl beds and their rooms. At night, they love racing upstairs to see their beds. It could also just be that they are exhausted but still they want to go sleep in their beds.

Super cute decor!
You are so talented -- you take great pictures, you can sew and you can decorate!
Love the tree! That's adorable!
Yeah, I learned how much bigger twin beds are when I measured the boys room and figured out it will be nearly impossible to have twin beds and a trundle in there!
So cute!!! LOVE the pink. No pink at my house :(.
I LOVE your decorations - I have to come up with something soon for Alex.
I love the decor that is already there! So pretty.
Hi! You don't know me, but I'm a mom of 20 month old twin girls. I found your blog from HDYDI and you're the only other mom I know of that have used sleep sacks into toddlerhood and I have a question for you. My girls could climb out of their cribs if not in sacks and like you guys did we are trying to keep them in the sacks for as long as possible to prevent climbing. Do you know if the sacks with holes for feet in them prevent them from climbing as well? My girls are outgrowing their L/XL size and wondering if it's worth getting the next size for the summer if they don't help prevent climbing. Anyways, if you have time I'd appreciate your input!
so cute! love the tree! how did you do it?

Thanks for the comments :)
Kim - I'm not sure about the sleepsacks. We only used the sack ones - no holes for feet.
