Piano playin'

We've had the bench to the piano in the basement since we've moved which means that the girls have never seen it. It was placed in its proper spot in front of the piano the other night as part of the girls' holiday card photo shoot. (When I recover from that experience, I will blog about it.) The bench was inadvertently left in the family room after the photo shoot but the girls seem to be doing well with it. There has only been one incident of Allie standing on it.

I've captured several photos over the past few days of Allie and Emily sitting at the piano, playing and singing. Anna sometimes joins in but I think it is more difficult for her to climb up onto the bench.

I will be beyond the moon if one of the girls decides that she wants to play the piano. I plan to start to teach them and if they show talent and want to learn more, I'll send them to someone better than me for lessons. Their first lesson is to identify middle C. Let's just say that they are still working on that.

Ah! How cute! We have no room in our house for a piano... but someday I hope to have one for my girls! I can hardly play anymore - Spinning Song is the only thing I can remember how to play! :)

How wonderful! I hope your girls will enjoy it. I loved playing the piano when I was young. Wishing now that I hadn't given it up in high school. I wonder how much would come back to me if either of mine decide to take it up...

I've actually been digital scrapbooking for awhile now so I knew how to do the layout in PSE - just never tried it for the blog! I'm trying to expand w/ photography - more black & white, etc.
