The girls' semi-pro two and a half year photo shoot

I need some honesty here, folks. If you paid a photographer for a mini session (say one half hour) and your spouse/significant other/partner could not attend (for whatever reason) so it was just you alone trying to wrangle three two and a half year olds and these pictures below were provided to you as a sampling of the proofs, would you be happy with them. Would you love them? Ask for your money back? Think that you could do better? I'm asking for your opinion!

I would LOVE them! Triplets are near impossible to get good group shots of! Even ONE shot with 3 smiles would make it all worth it! Your photography and your girls are BUU-TEE-FULL!!!

I did my Fall photo shoot last weekend and one of mine was not cooperating at all but what can you do I captured the age i guess you could say :o) your girls looked adorable!

These are very cute. I'm not sure they're better than what you (specifically YOU, not people in general) take yourself, but that might be more of a comment on how good your pictures are than on how the photographer did. I just realized that you probably DID take these, right? I think they're adorable.

I think the photos YOU take look the same as these if not better!

I think they are adorable:) I just love the way you dress the girls- too freakin' cute:) But, I definitely don't think the photography is any better than what you do on a regular basis.

The girls are gorgeous (as always). The outfits are adorable (as always). The pictures are great and I'd probably purchase some, but they don't look any better than the photos you've posted that you've taken yourself. As another person commented, I don't know if that's a testimony to how awesome your pictures are or a discredit to the photographer.

Gorgeous! Can you come to Australia and take photos of my baby when he's born?

I would love for you to take photos of my boys. I do think they didnt turn out as great as some of your others, but I cant get my 3 to sit still long enough for a group shot! Forget getting them to smile! You are a wonderful photographer.

And I have taken my boys to a photo shoot alone and the pictures were awful. Didnt even buy them! :)

I love them! But, from looking at the pics you take, I am sure you could have done that yourself. You take awesome pics!
I need to know where you found knee socks for the girls! I have been looking everywhere! PLEASE email me...kritter01@charter.net.
We are having a half-hour mini-shoot with our trio in 2 weeks...not sure what to expect, but hope that they are this good!
Thanks!

Hi!

Having JUST done some children photos with a pro AND at a JCPenneys (we liked Penneys just as well-gasp!)...would I pay for YOU to do fam photos of my little ones? Yes! Yes! Yes! I've thought this before :-)

Assuming you've taken these, getting everyone to look in the same direction at this age is challenging! And getting the pictures clear (not fuzzy) when the children are in motion is even more challenging. So, again- VERY impressive.

Since you asked our opinion...I always want photos to capture our children's personalities, which is mostly from their facial expressions. My only comment is that the outfits are a little distracting from the faces :-) Of course, you could just be creative with lighting, fading, colors, tones(black/white, sepia), etc with the prints to accommodate this. Since you said honesty, I think you really wanted constructive comments? I hope you're not offended :-)

On a scale of good...better...best- I'd rate these "better"- only since you have MANY on your website that qualify in the "best" category :-)

As always- truly adorable! I do really enjoy your pictures and the antics of raising your little blessings! Thanks for having this blog!

His,

I would be thrilled. I cannot get on 1 two (almost) year old to sit enough to pose! I would love a photographer to be able to get those shots!

Love them!! Especially all the girls in motion ones with the wagon! I would order all of them!

I think you took these :-) and they are fantastic. I can't even get a decent pic of my 2, let alone 3 . . . you have talent. The one of Anna (yes, I am guessing and probably wrong) with the 2 pumkins is just the sweetest.

Did you take these pictures? I think they're wonderful! My favorite is the one with one girl in the wagon, one pushing, and one pulling. I won't even try to guess who is who... :)

I actually went back through your blog looking for outdoor pics that you took. In my humble, totally not professional, opinion, I think you take way better pics. Your photos have a richer quality in the color and you know how to work with lighting better. Just my opinion. I would not be happy with these photos if I knew I could take better ones.

I think they are adorable but the ones you take are much better. Sorry.

They are cute but I will admit I love a lot of the photos you have taken yourself. I actually had my twins photographed and the photographer could tell it just wasn't what I had hoped for so she suggested my coming back another day and trying again. I appreciated that and we did end up getting some better shots. So all of that to say that if you really aren't thrilled with these then maybe ask for the redo. I think most photographers would totally understand. :)

Your pictures are really great! I would totally book a photoshoot with you. Question: Where are the clothes/hats from? Their outfits as well as your girls are adorable.Great job.

They are great as far as the girls go and the scenery. Subject matter and color make them great, but I honestly think your everyday photos are better than these. Yours are crisper.

I think you'll find over time that although the perfectly posed pictures are nice, it's the others that will be your favorites. When our kids were a little over a year old we had family pictures taken in a studio. The photographer took pictures the whole time and my two favorites are not the posed pictures. One is when one of my girls was crying and her Daddy bent over to give her a kiss and calm her. It melts my heart still. The other is one of the girls caught in the middle of a great big yawn. I love it and still have it out and it's been more than 9 years. You're pictures are great and as long as you love them that's all that matters.

Perhaps they lack variety, but some of the shots are super cute...
I am new to your blog, but my goodness identical triplets.. and some days I can barely get through with two!

I am pretty happy with the photos I take myself, so I wouldn't go to a professional photographer altogether. Some professional pics come out great, some come out bad and some come out on the same caliber that I'd take, so it's not worth the hassle and money for me.

Thinking back four years ago when I didn't have a digital camera, I'd go to the end of the world and back to have such photos of my child, but there was nothing affordable that was nearby.

Considering the types of photos families take on average, and the professional photos I have seen, I'd say they'd be thrilled with this.
