Attention & Punkins

Now that the girls are two and a half years old, I thought that the comments would be decreasing. But they are not. The comments and questions have transformed from those that were originally thrown at us and I guess we have just accepted it to be a part of our lives. And as long as they continue to be complimentary, I'm okay with it.

We brought the girls out to eat dinner at Friendly's on Saturday night after a tough day of playing. All of the comments centered around the girls being so well behaved and adorable. At one point, Rich and I noticed that parents and/or kids were asking the staff for some of the helium balloons that were along the booths as they left. We made a mental note to ask for some on our way out. I felt like a rock star (okay, maybe not so much) when two teenage girls that worked there ran over to us with balloons and asked if our girls could have them. "Well, heck yeah, they can have 'em."

Sunday was our big day at the pumpkin patch. By the way, the girls refer to pumpkins as "punkins." We were all very excited for the hay rides and pumpkin picking and in my mind, I did not expect to receive any comments. This place was crowded and, to be honest, I wasn't paying any attention to anyone else's kids so I really didn't expect anyone to pay attention to mine. Yeah, didn't happen. These were great comments though. People liked the girls' outfits and I couldn't believe how many people told us that the girls were beautiful. I was just tickled pink.

Here are the girls waiting for the hayride.

Okay, I admit that after I saw this picture, I could see how they stand out in a crowd.

So I really want to talk about the whole pumpkin patch experience but I'm tired and it's getting to be past my bedtime so I'll continue tomorrow. And there will be more cute (do I use this word too much?) photos as well.

Yes, I'm sure you got A LOT of comments because they really are just as cute as can be! Love the sweaters and the hats, your girls are adorable! :)

oh... on Sunday I was in the nursery at my church and I heard a lady reading a book and she said "you could be in for triple trouble!" I got really excited in my head and I asked "Is that Arthur's Baby?" I thought that was so random because it was the day after I read your post! I've work in the nursery every weekend for over a year and that was the first time I have seen that book, or I guess I just realized it because I had just read your post! So funny!

I love reading your blog, been following you for a while, and I think your girls are so cute! :)

I LOVE those sweaters! Where did you get them? How adorable :-) Love your blog and pics too- We live in Wisconsin, but I'm originally from Boston, so it makes me feel a little homesick to hear about the Cape. Still don't know how you have time to blog while working and taking care of your little ones!

Too too adorable. They would definitely be noticeable - I haven't been to a pumpkin patch with that many cute kids in forever!

My sisters and I (who are not identical) got lots of attention when we dressed the same. It will be different once they are older - probably by middle school. They are beautiful though. I can't imagine dressing my kids in white or getting them to keep their hats on.

Oh my goodness - I didn't expect so many comments.

The sweaters and hats are from the Baby Gap outlet - although I don't the prices were outlet-like at all.
