The terrible twos times three!!!

Oh, no. Not us. We're as sweet as can be.

Anna in pink. Emily in floral print. Allie in yellow.

To properly document the girls' second birthday party (or happy day, as they call it), I'm going to have to do so in two posts. Over the past four days, I've taken probably 400 pictures. I haven't even looked at all of them yet. And I'm exhausted (what else is new) so I, unfortunately, won't be able to stay awake for long.

We decided to hold the party on Saturday afternoon, after naps. The day started at 6:01 with Em crying. I ran in and grabbed her before she woke up the other two. She attached herself to me and rested for an hour and then everyone was up for the day. And happy as can be, of course. (Insert sarcasm here.) I swear she must have an alarm clock hidden in her crib.

Here are some pictures from lunch. You know you are in trouble when Em thinks that she's going to bring her yogurt into the family room.

Allie. Yes, she's wearing a St. Patrick's Day bib.

And the meal wouldn't be complete without Anna dumping yogurt on her head.

We decided to keep the party small and simple. Our house is not all that big and we couldn't depend on good weather so we invited grandparents, my brothers and their families and a handful of Rich's siblings and their families. Good thing we planned ahead because it started snowing.

Yes, snow in April. Have I ever told you how much I love New England weather?
.
I took a billion pictures of the girls but seeing that I don't have time to look through them all, never mind edit, I'm going to post another one of my favorites. I think they are so adorable when they hold hands. I'll have to post some more later this week along with their two-year photo shoot.

Because the girls love Elmo so much, we decided to have an Elmo theme. We outsourced the cake, which was a great idea. The bakery did an awesome job.

And we went with a little cake for each girl.

I'll have to post pictures tomorrow of the girls eating their cake. They are so girly girl - I couldn't believe it.
.
Okay, more tomorrow.
