Snow and a Christmas Party

It has been snowing here nonstop since yesterday (Friday) afternoon at 2:00. Nonstop. The snow today has been accumulating so slowly that it appears that maintenance crews have given up on plowing. You know its bad when the highways aren't clear.

Here's what our deck looked like this morning:

We had our Christmas party today for Rich's side of the family. There are sooooo many people in his family they have to rent a hall to have the party. Don't forget, he has 12 siblings and 20 something nieces and nephews. Add in spouses and boyfriends/girlfriends - that's a lot of people.

I still find it easy to judge the difference a year makes in raising triplets by recalling specific events. For example, here's a picture of me and the girls before we left for the Christmas party last year.

Here's a picture of the girls today at the party:

On the way home, we noticed a lot of cars at a neighbor's house. Rich and Grammy started talking about how the neighbors had gone caroling last year at midnight on Christmas Eve. I had absolutely no recollection of that incident AT ALL. Rich said that he had been upstairs in the office feeding one of the girls when it happened. Then the night feedings and Rich, Grammy and I having to sleep in shifts all came back to me in a flood. Yes, life is much easier now.

It's late (9:36 pm exactly as I type this sentence) and I hear at least one little girl still awake in her crib. I will post more on the Christmas party tomorrow.

I'll leave you with a picture I found on the CD I had to dig out for the above picture of me and the girls. This was taken sometime last winter and everyone loves it. I especially love the bibs.

Please note that if you steal this picture, I will hunt you down and do bad things to you.

Good night!
