Weekend whereabouts

9.12a

With school back in session, we seem to have more going on in general.  Everyone is mostly out of summer mode now.  Because the weather was gorgeous and we wanted to check out the new fence we had installed, we drove down to the cottage and spent the night.  But first, a picnic lunch at the canal.

The fence looked great and adds so much privacy to our yard.  The cottage on the other side is a rental so there are always people coming and going.  Aside from the crew toting family packs of beer earlier in July, the renters have been fairly quiet but we still lacked privacy on that side.  Because of the septic upgrade installation, we had to move the outdoor shower over there and we wanted it to be more private.

In the spirit of exploration, we ate dinner at a restaurant recommended by family and watched the sunset from a different beach.  The restaurant was The Marshside in Dennis.  It was completely kid friendly and our food was super tasty.  We were the youngest ones there though.  Didn't really bother us but thought it was interesting.

We arrived at the beach during the golden hour.

We hope to get down there for one more weekend before we close up for the winter.  Our weekends are filling up though.  It does seem crazy to be having conversations about turning the water off and such.
