Apples and Autumnal Stuff

I usually don't welcome fall with open arms and by the time I accept that it's here, the apples have all been picked, the mums have all be snatched up and the pumpkins are pretty much gone.  At Rich's suggestion, we planned for a quick apple picking excursion last weekend and even better, friends joined us.  The kids had a blast.  Well, as much fun as you can have picking apples with friends.  We purchased some mums for the porch as well.  I would like to decorate the window boxes but I don't think I have it in me this year to deal with it.  There's always next year.

I love The Big Apple. I grew up near there and it was an autumn tradition. My mom brought me some of their honey crisps last week.

Did you get cider donuts? We were talking about cider donuts at work yesterday. I learned that one of my co-workers worked at The Big Apple as a kid. Such a small world.

Ooh, this makes me want to do fall activities. I imagine going inland for apple picking is even hotter though, haha.

Emily's hair is still so long! Allie's looks great too. Has Anna decided what she wants to do?
