And then it was Easter
Well, the bunny was organized this year and ensured that candy and books were ready for the girls' baskets well in advance of Easter. Unfortunately, the bunny left some trash in the form of a Barnes & Noble bag and receipt in our house which was discovered by Emily who thought that the bunny was me. Fortunately, Anna was able to convince her otherwise.
It was a balmy 40 degrees for our (super quick) hunt egg. I'd been hopeful for a warm day, especially considering Easter was later in the month. It didn't happen. This isn't spring; it's winter with a few warm days. Ugh.
Easter is usually a low-key day for us. We spent the morning at home and then headed to Rich's mom's house for a visit. An early dinner was at my parents' house by the coast. One of my brothers and his three kids were there as well and after dinner, all the kids were sort of going crazy from being cooped up all day. I thought it would be a great idea to bring them down to the freezing cold beach to run around. That didn't really work out so well because of the high tide and all so the kids tore through the playground until the adults couldn't take the cold any longer.
Hey, at least the food was yummy and the company, good. (If you can't tell, I'm desperate for summer.)
