The Sewing Challenge

My blog reader was chock-full of Easter photos and commentary this morning.  I, however, will not be as timely with my Easter post.  Well, posts really because I have to include the activities and events leading up to Easter.  Apparently, I can't read a calendar because I thought I had an extra week of sewing time before the girls' "home birthday" party (aka the family party) but I don't.  Or I did but a week passed and I forgot to subtract it from my mental calendar.  So that's what I'll be doing during the majority of my free time this week, which is fine with me because to see the joy on the girls' little faces when I finish makes me so incredibly happy.

Because so many of you have left such nice comments (or sent emails) regarding my sewing projects, I was thinking of giving away a skirt or two (new, of course) here on my blog.  It will have to wait until the craziness calms down a bit though.  My tax season extends through June and the girls have all sorts of school year-end activities coming up.

Stay tuned - I have a lot of posts lined up, including lens suggestions for Disney and the girls' first social event.

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend!

...Almost forgot to mention that I thought I had killed my sewing machine last night.  I'm actually beyond surprised that it's still working.  Stupid plastic part - they just don't make things like they used to.

I know you probably don't want to see what I am about to share, but I saw this post on a blog link up and thought of you. Sorry in advance :)

Ashlee - I'll be sure to share!

Sarah - LOL. It's a good thing I don't have time to bake.

As a devout blog reader and eager seamstress, I would LOVE a fabric giveaway! You find such cute prints!!

Hayley - that's a good idea. I'll keep that in mind - esp. when I'm shopping for new prints.

I would LOVE if you did a skirt giveaway! We are taking our daughter to Disney for the first time in October and I just love the Disney-themed skirts you made for your girls!

I love seeing your sewing projects. It even made me tell my husband that I want to learn how to sew, but I only have boys, so I don't think I would be sewing them skirts ;)
