Look at me, I'm 6!!! (Home birthday party recap)

april28e

I'm not a party planner.  Well, I probably would be a good one in another life but now, in this life, not so much.  Too lazy, I suppose.  So the only thing you'll find Pinterest-worthy here are the girls' custom outfits.  My kids just wanted a party!  And this was a family party with mostly adults and itty-bitties so no need to go overboard.  Life is crazy - a birthday party shouldn't be.

As a special treat, Rich brought the girls to the grocery store that morning so they could each pick out a balloon.

We made four single layer cakes so that the girls could each have their own cake (and then one extra if we needed more cake for the guests.)

(I just laughed for 5 minutes at this photobomb.)

Some wanted to pose with their cakes while others just wanted to eat frosting.

april28a

Buddies celebrated too.

april28f

Yes, we did sing Happy Birthday three different times.

I'm excited to see what 6 brings.  Their little minds are just so incredible right now.  They make me smile and laugh each day.

My sister and I had shared birthdays when we were younger. I hated it so much (especially since she was 6 years younger than me - and not, ya know - "cool"). It's great that you gave them each their own cake and song to make the day uniquely special for each of them. Happy 6 to your adorable girls!

I love a good photobomb!
I laughed at that picture as well!

The photobomb cracked me up.
I love that each girl gets her own cake, her own candles to blow out and is sung to by everyone. How cool!

I can't help but notice that the one cake that Anna is blowing out the candles in isn't completely frosted. Anyways, your girls are too cute. Hope they enjoyed there birthday. Can't wait to see pics from their party with their friends.

Thanks, everyone.

The girls frosted their cakes and then Rich and I helped finish them. Except Anna didn't want us to help finish hers - she wanted to do it all herself.

And I can't help but notice that someone not only noticed one of the cakes wasn't fully frosted but actually commented on it! LMAO.

Oh my goodness - can't even believe someone noticed that. Hahahaha. Stupid.

That Anna girl is something else. :)

Sarah, does it feel like 6 long years or just like yesterday that you had three newborns?

It is always so nice to see that three little girls who came into this world all at the same time march to the beat of their own drum. I hope that they always continue through life this way, knowing that their are two others out their who will always have their back, but who will dance through life in their own style.
Wishing them the happiest year.

Perfectly Sweet Good Old Fashioned Birthday Party! This is my favorite type of party. My 3 girls are all June babies (10th and 16th) and my husband is the 18th so we have a BIG family party that is always so much fun.
The girls look so beautiful and HAPPY and that is what I love to see!
