Angela's bureau was originally at my Mamaw's house in Michigan. I'm assuming that she purchased it at a yard sale or from a thrift/antique shop. The bureau traveled from Michigan to Massachusetts and found a new home at Grammy's house before it ended up in Emily's bedroom. A few months ago, the bureau was moved to the playroom for lack of anywhere else to move it to.
We call it Angela's bureau because the name Angela is painted on the front of it.
The girls are usually not destructive. They don't paint on the furniture or color on the walls or cut things they are supposed to cut with scissors. So I was a bit surprised when I found this
on the bureau when cleaning the other day.
When I asked Em why she had written her name on the bureau, she covered her mouth in surprise because she hadn't realized until I asked the question that she had written on something she shouldn't have. Apparently. She told me that she did it because she wanted everyone to know that the bureau was from her room. Isn't it funny how the mind of a 5 year old works?
Thanks for the chuckle, Em.

How funny! This reminds me of my siblings and I when we were young, everything belonged to someone specific, even if two people thought it was theirs! So cute!

When I was about 4 my Mom was sick and laid me down with her in bed to nap, I didn't fall asleep and found a straight pin and carved my name in their headboard...she was so mad, but I told her that I thought she would want to wake up every day and see my name.
Haha I did this to my antique dresser when I was little as well!
