Sweet dreams

I can't be the only one who likes to watch her four year olds sleep. They are still little and look so calm and peaceful and I can't believe that I am admitting to this but I sometimes don't mind (HERE AND THERE, not every night) snuggling in bed with them. They are getting to be so big so fast and I now feel like I missed out on some baby stuff because life was just so hectic/insane/tiring back then.

One night a few weeks ago, I arrived home after the girls were asleep. I crept upstairs to change clothes and to peek in on my lovies. This is how I found Emily:

Naturally, the girls were not happy that I was absent at bedtime and Emily decided to bring the picture that she had drawn of me and her to bed. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. Rich didn't think it was so cute when Em woke up at four in the morning and discovered that the picture was missing. I thought that if I left it there, she would flip out when she woke up. It was basically a lose/lose situation.

But still one of the cutest things.
