We decided to go to Target on Saturday afternoon, which was really the only reason why I showered and dressed in something other than pajama-type clothes. We didn't really need anything at Target but there were some household items that I forgot to pick up the last five times we were there. So we brought a list this time. And Target is always good for some grocery purchases.
Our house is still not decorated. I guess we are on the five year plan. I have curtains that I made for the living room of our other house that we are now using in the family room in this house but we still needed curtain rods for the back windows. I had big plans for the weekend but not much was accomplished on that to-do list. As usual.
I had Rich take some pictures of me and the girls before we left the house. At first, only Anna would participate so I told Allie and Em that Daddy was taking pictures of just me and Anna.
That worked wonders.
(Unfortunately, the end of the couch in the picture is bothering me but I wasn't about to clone it out.)
I like to refer to these as assisted outfits. That is when the girls pick out part of their outfit and I assist with the rest. So Anna picked out that panda bear jumper. I grabbed a white turtleneck and matching panda bear leggings. She agreed to my add-ons.
Let's go left to right.
Em
Pajamas - gift from Aunt Katie
Princess Aurora dress - present from Santa
Boots (not shown) - Gymboree
Allie
Hat - Gymboree
Turtleneck - Old Navy
Dress - Gymboree
Tights - TCP
Boots - Gymboree
Me
Long-sleeve shirt - Gap Outlet
Short-sleeve shirt - Urban Outfitters (purchased after Abbey was born to hide my tummy)
Jeans - Gap Outlet
Boots - Uggs
Little Lion
Nothing! He's a lion. (Em placed him there so that he would be in the picture too.)
Anna
Turtleneck - Old Navy
Jumper - Gymboree
Leggings - Gymboree
Boots - Kohl's (I think?)
Okay, so I hate having my picture taken. Hate it. But I do like that I am in pictures with my girls. We don't have enough of those.

Your outfit is really cute but looks comfy at the same time! I love those kinda outfits!
I am really enjoying this series :)
Gorgeous photos... love the outfits :)) Our toddler has started doing her own outfits and comes up with the most mismatched gear - but great to see them have fun in the process :)) xo
I absolutely love that you let them wear what they choose! I've always let mine do the same.
LOVE that 2nd pic :)
And your outfit
It's nice to see you in some photos. I know that I don't have many pictures with my girls and I need to make the effort to get in some. I'll appreciate it later.
Loving this series. Keep it up.
And as for letting kids choose their outfits, I love it. It gives them some control and you end up with some pretty quirky looks. My daughter (6 now)has worn costumes to stores, libraries, diners too (and still does to be honest). I don't mind it, most people smile and for the ones that don't well, who really cares.
I love your outfit (and the girls'), but I especially love that you have this photo to share with your girls when you are older. Moms are never in any photographs, and it's such a treasure when they pop up!
Again, great pics. Cloning photos can be very tricky. A couple of quick tricks on yours, though, and voila! (I'm an advertising art director, which means I spend way too much time each day using Photoshop).
Anyhow, the photos are beautiful.

You four are adorable!
