A letter to the marketing executives of Disney

feb21a

Dear Disney,

I am writing to thank you for your wonderful products, which have provided hours upon hours of entertainment and creative play for my three young children. I would especially like to thank you for selling teeny tiny toys for children ages three and older. My most favorite part of the day upon returning home each evening after a ten plus hour absence to work a full time job and commute on a train that may or may not run on time is crawling around on the floor looking for Emily's beloved Chip.

My knees, bad back and I thank you.

Sincerely,

A mom who finds Chip each and every night because I refuse to buy another.

In case you thought that was just a picture of the rug.

Is he under the couch? Is he under a couch cushion? Is he lost in a pile of other small toys? Is he under the stove? Is he stuck in a heating vent? Is he in Allie's clothes? (True story.) The possibilities are endless.

Emily posing with Chip.

And just because she's beautiful.

Oh, that is NUTS!!! I'm a bit OCD about finding all the girls' toys at the end of the day, but the smallest piece is at least 4 times that size! Kudos to you! HA!

maybe chip can be attached to a long string and turn into a loose necklace that em can parade around in?

Geeze is that the Polly pocket version! Why would they make toys SO small?!?!

Hahaha! That is the tiniest little Chip. You are such a good mommy! I would have a backup supply just in case!

And she really is beautiful.

Chip she is teenie tiny! I like the idea of a string for a necklace, or maybe Chip can have a special home like a old earring/ring box, or something as simple as a sandwich bag for safe keeping.

That would drive me insane :)!!

I've been reading your blog for a while but never commented. Just wondering, is Emily your favorite? It seems you show a lot of favoritism towards her from your posts. Just wondering..............

Anon - yes, Emily is my favorite.

Interesting that you see it that way. She has always been the most clingy to me so maybe I just have more "blog material" from her. Right now, she's the easiest to photograph. Well, sometimes.

But seriously, I love all my kids the same. There have been plenty of nights (and days) when I have searched for items for Allie and Anna.

I absolutely LOVE your sense of humor! I cannot imagine trying to find that tiny cup - ha ha! I also love how you posted a picture - just because she's beautiful - you are so right - she is - they all are.

Oh, that is so funny. I do this on a nightly basis for my girls too. At least we don't have anything THAT small to look for. Note to self - don't by the girls teensy tiny toys that they might fall in love with and insist on sleeping with.
