That didn't go as planned.

I never thought I would see the day when we would not want the girls napping. That day has arrived, my friends. If the girls nap, they will be awake until 9:00 PM and I really can't have three year olds awake until 9:00 PM.



Last weekend, we decided to take the girls for ice cream the afternoon after the road race. They feel asleep on the way there. I tried to keep them awake but in the van, there is only so much I can do. Plus, they had run a half a mile that morning so I really couldn't blame them.



The whole ice cream thing turned out to be a big flop. We thought that there was a petting zoo there. No. Just cows and flies.

Shoo fly! Shoo!!



The ice cream was good but expensive. The kiddie size was enormous and Allie dropped hers on the ground trying to shoo a fly off of her leg.



The girls enjoyed looking at and talking to the cows. "Hello cow. What is your name?" But there was a big Caution Electric Fence sign on the fence, which didn't really seem so kid friendly to me.



Yeah, I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon.
