Labor Day Weekend

Well, I think our three weeks of summer are officially over. We've been having some beautiful autumn days here with very cool nights. Our nasty mosquito problem seems to be under control now.

We brought the girls to the Roger Williams Zoo in Providence yesterday. Stay tuned for a blog post regarding that adventure in the near future. The girls were required to skip their nap yesterday so we've been rounding out the weekend with yard playtime and trips to the store.

If you are in the market for summer items for next year, be sure to check out your local Target. (Please note that I am laughing to myself because the girls actually call Target by its "French" name Tar-jay.) We purchased a bigger pool for the girls for only $7.40 and life jackets for $6.50 each. We had been debating over the life jackets for this year because we weren't sure how many times the girls would actually use them and it would have cost us $75 to buy them. I was so excited to find them on super clearance.

I'm so glad this is a three day weekend for me. Our weekends are always so rushed and crazy and it is nice to have a bit of a break from the norm. I actually have time to spread out the fifteen loads of laundry that have piled up. And in case you are wondering why it wouldn't be a three day weekend for me - September 15th is a big deadline in the tax world but due to my excellent management skills, I was able to take the holiday off.

I have about that much laundry and I only have one child!! I also got the life jacket on clearance at Target (up to 30 lbs) and was so excited at how cheap it was. I love sales.
