Saturday Part II

I forgot to mention in my post last night that the weather yesterday morning was absolutely beautiful. It was a perfect day for a walk and playing in the park.

Here are some of the photos I shot after the walk. The girls finally warmed up to being there and took advantage of the open space to run. The only problem was that there was a ton of geese crap everywhere, which drives me crazy.

How scary is it that the girls' shoes are the only way for me to identify who is who in some of these pictures.

Em, Allie and Anna.

By the time we left, it was past the girls' naptime. I decided to sit in the back of the van with them to keep them awake. Usually what happens in these types of situations is that one, two or all three (you never know who) will fall asleep in the van on the ride home, which means that they will not go down for a real nap. I was NOT going to let that happen today. Anna's eyes were glazed over for most of the ride home and Allie cuddled up with Elmo, turned her head to the side and shut her eyes. "Hey Missy, you need to wait until we get home for that nap."

The girls did nap for about an hour in their cribs but it took them over an hour to fall asleep. The weather had turned by the time they were up and dressed and it was starting to rain. We decided to head to the mall so that Rich could return some recent clothing purchases. The girls are reaching the point where shopping with them for an extended period of time is impossible. I'm not going to chase them around the mall so it's either they sit in the stroller or we just don't go. I think they feed off of each other as well. If one starts fussing, then the other two join in.

It was getting late so we decided to round out the day of healthy eating by heading to the food court. They didn't really eat all that much. Go figure.

My little babies are no longer little babies. They are toddlers. Soon to be little kids. Where does the time go?

Awesome pictures. I know a set of identical twin girls (now adults) that were never allowed to wear matching shoes. It was how you ID which sister you were talking to. I think their parents had it right because they rarely had trouble with people telling them apart.
