Running (again)

I know. I know. You've heard it before. I'm back to tell you that after starting and stopping numerous times, I'm running again. My inspiration to start (again) came from reading Lani's new blog regarding training for the Disney marathon. After reading her blog and some others, I decided (again) that if they can do it, so can I!

Lani brought up a good point in that searching the internet, she was unable to find many blogs of running mommas. I thought that blogging about my experience would not only hold me accountable but maybe inspire someone else to get out there. I think I'm going to simply post my running weekly running journal. Most of you would find the details of each run quite boring.

I posted My Running Resume for those interested in my running background. Click here to read that.

It's amazing what carrying triplets for eight months can do to your body. Never mind what giving birth to four babies in less than 11 months will do. Not only have I been out of the running game for three and a half years, I'm starting back up with a completely different body.

Running Journal for the week of April 26, 2009

Tuesday - 1.6 miles outside, 20 minutes (I know. HORRIBLE!)
Thursday - 2 miles, treadmill
Friday - 2 miles, treadmill

* I don't keep track of time when treadmill running. My pace never falls slower than 12:00/mile.

Good for you!! Last year I did the Couch to 5K training program while pushing my boys. What a workout but what a feeling of accomplishment! Not too mention when I then ran a 5K without the boys the run felt like a breeze.
