If you're going to take photos, such as these, with backlighting, it's important to remember to spot meter by getting up close to your subject. When you back away, your camera's meter will tell you that you aren't metered properly but you are. Try it out.

You girls get more and more adorable. Question--do you request that they keep their hair long or do all three of them want to wear it that way? Is it part of a desire on their part to look similar or a coincidence that they all like long hair at this age? Thanks for the posts--love reading your blog!
Hi Lisa - hair choice is their preference. Although, we may see some haircuts in the near future!
My son will be 7 next month and just starting wearing his size 5 pants in Feb. He doesn't grow very fast. He can still fit in his sneakers from the fall.
