The girls were supposed to have their teeth cleaned bright and early Saturday morning but we rescheduled due to the fact that two of them had just recovered from that awesome stomach virus.  Gymnastics had already been rescheduled because the girls had signed up to compete in a junior Jeopardy competition with their schoolmates.  Oh, the drama.  I think the girls inherited my competitive nature and Rich's sensitivity.  Not the best combo.

It poured rain for most of the day Saturday.  I made the mistake of mentioning a potential outing to the outlet mall to Emily and it turns out, she really wanted to go.  She accepted a rain check due to the inclement weather.  I also had an overload of laundry to take care of along with my favorite April 15th activity.  That's right.  Tax returns!  Emily complained that I spend too much time with tax returns and I agree but Papa needed assistance.  The girls ended up watching Inside Out, which was a new movie for them.

The rain finally cleared up Saturday afternoon and snow moved in.  Do you see why I have a hate/love/hate relationship with where I live?

I had gone to bed at 8:30 Saturday night to read for a bit before an early lights out.  Well, Allie had decided to eat all the food Saturday night and didn't feel well.  Seriously, kid.  So I was up with her and didn't end up falling asleep until midnight.  I took a two hour nap when Rich returned home from church and then continued with laundry and tax returns.  Those two days went by too fast.  I'm looking forward to some change.

What did your kids think of Inside Out?

I brought it home from the library this weekend, and my son (almost 5) really wants to watch it. But my husband and I watched it first after he went to bed…and I think it will be way over his head and also maybe kind of too scary and sad for him. Your kids are probably a better age…did they like it?

The girls did like it - it definitely held their attention. I agree though, it's an emotional movie.
